The Khosla Scholarship on Human Hepatocyte Transplantation
A three year PhD studentship for research into improving the technique and understanding of hepatocyte transplantation. The student will join Professor Dhawan’s research group based at King’s College Hospital starting on 1 October 2014.

  • What is the Khosla Scholarship?
    The Ananda Trust is an international grant making organisation, focused on supporting medical research and development, in premier institutions, in the areas of mental health and paediatric care. The Trust believes that one can have leverage impact by helping improvements in medicine.
  • How much is the scholarship worth?
    The scholarship is for 3 years. The student will receive a stipend of £19,000 per year rising to £20,000 in year 3. The scholarship includes payment of Home/EU tuition fees to King’s College London for the 3 year period.
  • Am I eligible to apply?
    Applicants should have a BSc Honours degree (First  or Upper Second) or MSc (Distinction or Merit) in a biomedical science.
    Previous experience in a research laboratory would be an advantage.

The successful applicant must adhere to the following conditions of the award:
– You must write a thank you letter to pass on to the donor.
– You must write an annual end of year report updating the donor on your progress.
